The provincial department responsible for economic development and tourism (DEDECT) runs support programmes for small tourism businesses from time to time. A new window is now open for applications from small tourism operators in the North West.

Who should look at it

• Owner-run accommodation, restaurants and activity operators
• Businesses that are registered and tax compliant
• Operators who can show how the support would grow their business or create jobs

What HTA is doing

HTA will share the official criteria and closing date with members as soon as we have them in writing, and will run a short session on putting an application together. If you plan to apply, let us know so we can tell you when the session is scheduled.

Always apply through the department’s official channels. HTA never charges a fee to help with an application.

Members can raise questions about this at the next HTA stakeholder meeting, or contact the committee.
