Planned roadworks on sections of the R511 will affect access to several attractions and accommodation establishments around the dam. Expect stop-and-go control and longer travel times while the work is under way.

What operators can do now

• Tell guests about delays in booking confirmations and pre-arrival messages
• Suggest alternative routes where they exist, and allow extra time for check-in
• Let tour groups and event guests know before they set out
