Summer brings Harties’ busiest months, with school holidays, long weekends and the year-end break. A little preparation now makes the peak easier on staff and better for guests.

Before the rush

• Check that your online listings, opening hours and prices are current
• Confirm staff rosters and seasonal hires early
• Service equipment, boats and vehicles before you need them every day
• Agree with suppliers on deliveries for peak weekends

Work with your neighbours

When you are full, refer guests to another member rather than turning them away. Accommodation, restaurants and activity operators that recommend each other keep visitors in Harties for longer, and that benefits everyone.
